Propel is thrilled to announce the expansion of our real estate expertise. With the recent acquisition of Bellevue, Washington-based Cascade Risk Placement, Inc. and Lynnwood, Washington-based Encore & Company, Inc. Insurance, we’ve enhanced our programs in commercial office, apartment, manufactured housing and other related real estate risk management services. We’re also excited to add the Insurance Program for Association Housing LLC (IPAH) to our offerings. This group property and liability insurance program for multifamily housing communities was originally designed for members of affordable housing associations, and has recently been expanded to include members of conventional housing associations.
In connection with these acquisitions, the Cascade Risk and Encore & Company teams will join the Propel team at their Seattle office.
Cascade Risk, an insurance brokerage firm with a focus on the real estate industry, offers commercial office, apartment, hotel/motel, industrial park and other related real estate risk management services. Cascade Risk also developed IPAH, a group property and liability insurance program for multifamily housing owned or managed by members of professional housing associations.
Encore & Company’s offerings include property and casualty insurance for owners and managers of Manufactured housing communities, shopping centers, and self-storage facilities.
“We’re excited about expanding our real estate offerings in these significant ways,” said Kurt Carlson, President, Propel Insurance. “The continuation of the unique programs Cascade has created for multifamily housing – and Encore’s range of specialized commercial offerings – are a perfect match with Propel’s industry and claims expertise. We look forward to being able to offer our real estate industry clients a truly unparalleled benefit.”
Joseph B. Diehl, Executive Director of AHMA Northwest and Washington State CARH noted, “IPAH has grown to over 1,000 multifamily properties and over 40,000 units in its first 3 years of operation. We fully expect an acceleration in growth, with Propel as the program’s new Administrator. The added resources that Propel brings to the program will improve IPAH’s capacity for better claims processing and control, and expand it’s buying power in insurance markets for many years to come.”
