With over 23 years of experience in insurance and risk management, Melody brings a wealth of experience advising real estate owners, managers, developers, and contractors on complex risk and insurance strategies. What distinguishes her approach is the ability to connect insurance decisions to the broader financial, operational, and strategic realities of each client’s business. Her experience spans large real estate portfolios, major construction operations, and a specialized practice in project risk insurance for large developments.

She goes beyond placing insurance policies. The dynamic of analyzing how risk affects assets, investments, projects, contracts, financing, cash flow, and balance sheets is complex and requires specialized design of practical insurance and risk transfer solutions around those priorities. By combining technical expertise in insurance, broking, and negotiations with a deep understanding of how real estate and construction businesses operate, she helps clients protect value, manage volatility, and move forward with greater confidence and flexibility.

In addition to advising clients, Melody held various leadership roles throughout her career, including serving on a firm’s board of directors, leading strategy as Regional Director for the Pacific Northwest, and serving as National Practice Leader for real estate and construction. These roles have allowed her to help shape firm strategy, capabilities, and solutions informed by direct client experience, while giving a broader perspective on market conditions, emerging risks, and the resources required to serve complex organizations effectively.
