Propel Welcomes James Gurule To Our Colorado Team
Propel Insurance, An Alera Group company, welcomes James Gurule to our Colorado team as a Sales Executive on our Construction team. James joins Propel bringing over 9 years of technical expertise providing innovative insurance solutions to his clients.
James specializes in construction, manufacturing, and transportation. James also brings deep technical expertise from his foundation as an underwriter with a leading national carrier, helping to ensure his clients’ balance sheets are protected.
When asked about his new role, James shared, “I am excited for the opportunity to join the Propel team. In an industry where mentorship is scarce, Brad Billingsley has stepped up and mentored me, which has allowed me to grow and help my clients. After meeting other team members, it became clear that Propel is a collaborative environment that builds everyone up. In addition, Propel’s unrelentingly unconventional way of thinking promotes solutions that in today’s world is necessary. As someone with deep roots in the Rocky Mountain region, I am happy to bring these tools, resources, and good people to companies that can benefit from it.”
Brad Billingsley, head of the Denver office at Propel Insurance, shares, “I’ve always respected James’ work ethic and drive – he was a collegiate wrestler, so that speaks volumes – and his desire to learn and become the very best resource for his clients that he can be. I’ve also worked alongside him, volunteering with Food for Thought, packing food for kids in need throughout Denver. When he continued to show up every Friday at 4:30 am to volunteer and work hard, I knew he had what it took to be successful.”
James is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado and double majored in Psychology and Journalism. He resides in Colorado with his Fiancé, 8yr old son, and a baby on the way. Volunteering in his community is one of his passions; Houses for Warriors, Denver Children’s Home, and Food for Thought to name a few.
