Propel Welcomes Shane Smith to our Advanced Technologies Team

Propel Insurance, an Alera Group company, welcomes Shane Smith to our Advanced Technologies Team as a Sales Executive. Shane joins Propel with over seven years of experience in the insurance industry, specializing in large and complex accounts. His focus areas have spanned a wide range, from national real estate accounts to advanced manufacturing, with his primary focus on data centers and digital assets. This diverse expertise enables Shane to deliver more tailored insurance programs, backed by extensive knowledge of complex risks.

Shane joins the Advanced Technologies Team, which provides insurance solutions to emerging industries. With a deep understanding of new technologies, he partners with clients to ensure their insurance and risk management practices align with their specific needs. When asked about his new role, Shane shared, “I am very passionate about new technologies and enjoy being a partner to my clients to understand their goals, business, and how we can best provide risk management and insurance solutions to protect their assets. My passion for this space drives me to ensure the future success of my clients by properly insuring them, so no loss can affect the growth of their business.”

Shane lives in Denver, CO, and is an active member of his community. Earlier in his career, he received the Difference Makers Award in 2023 and served as co-chair of the Difference Makers Committee, where he drove community engagement initiatives for his fellow associates. In addition, Shane is a member of the Catalyst Society for Mile High United Way and has been appointed to the Urban Renewal Authority of Englewood, CO. His community involvement is driven by a passion to make positive changes for the future.
