Three Business Insurance Myths

three business insurance myths

Being a good business owner often means you need to be able to tell fact from fiction. Here are three myths you may have heard about business insurance that need to be debunked.

Myth #1: More insurance is better. Not necessarily. The right insurance program isn’t about quantity, but about creating coverage that’s tailored around your particular business risks.

Myth #2: Don’t worry. It’s covered. Not always! It’s important to have your broker look for gaps in your insurance. One thing businesses often overlook is commercial auto insurance. Even if your employees are on the road only occasionally – make sure you have coverage that protects you in case of an on-the-job accident.

Myth #3: Business insurance is something you can set and forget. Not at all. Your coverage should be reviewed at least annually and on an ongoing basis as you grow or evolve your services, products or goals.
